Today, we’re going to talk about your system, your  mailing lists and how they can drive traffic to your website. I know that might sound odd, especially if you don’t have a list yet. But, I’m not talking about your own list. You can actually start with other people’s lists. Let me explain.

Re Purpose Other People’s Energy

Do you have partners, helpers, fellow online business owner friends, etc. that would be willing to promote your site to their readers? If so, use them to spread the word. You can also take the time to research other websites that target your type of customer.

Don’t be shy! However, don’t just email them and say “Hey can you promote my site?” You have to give them a reason to promote you.

Make It a Win Win Situation

First, make sure their readers are those who would benefit from your site. If you’ve got a site selling car parts, then asking a virtual assistant to promote your site to their audience isn’t going to cut it.

Once you’ve found like minded businesses that fit well with what you have to offer, consider bartering something for their time. Do you provide a service on the side? Why not offer them a free hour of your time in exchange for a mention in their newsletter or on their blog? Think of how you can give them something worth while in return for promoting your site.

Next, it’s time to present the offer to them. Again, don’t just shoot them an email requesting promotion. Approach the person with THEIR best interest in mind and highlight how it will benefit them not you. Remember to make it a win-win situation for all involved and you’ll do great.

Finally educate them on why The Money is in the System

Remember they may not understand the concept that the money is in the system so educate them on your system and help them see their system. They know that building traffic leads to income. How you get from traffic at your site to converting it to income is the system that makes the profit. You have your system don’t you? Help them see theirs.
