Your Affiliate Link and Affiliate Marketing

Your Affiliate Link and Affiliate Marketing

.
After an affiliate marketer chooses a product to promote, he is given a unique website link called an “affiliate link”. In this link, the unique identity of an affiliate marketer is attached. The affiliate marketer is required to promote this affiliate link as much as he can. For this purpose websites, forums, blogs, newsletters and many other ways are used. Whenever a visitor clicks on an affiliate link to go to the merchant’s website and make a purchase, the affiliate is credited.

This means that if someone looks at your affiliate link and removes your affiliate id from that link and then uses it to purchase products, you will not be credited. The reason is that merchant will not be able to know which affiliate had sent this buyer. The only way to get credited is the complete affiliate link.

Usually the  Affiliate link is in this form:

http://www.anymerchantwebsite.com?aff_id=someidlike123

or

http://turnkeycashkits.com/PDFbrander/pdf/AffiliateMoneySecretV2_7h0jhxnanv.pdf

In this URL there are two parts:

a) http://www.anymerchantwebsite.com

It is the link to the merchant website.

b) aff_id = someidlike123

It is the unique affiliate id of the affiliate marketer.

Risk of the Affiliate Link

You can see in the above example that it is really very easy to remove the trailing affiliate id from the affiliate link. Anyone can remove your affiliate id and visit the merchant website to purchase. When this happens, you lose the commission that was rightfully yours. This is a problem for the affiliate marketer.
.

How to Resolve This Affiliate Link Issue

.
There is a solution for this issue. You can hide your affiliate id in the affiliate URL in a way that it cannot be stripped off. But this can only be done if you are using your own hosting. Just follow generic cialis prescriptions the following steps to do this:

Using your file manager, make a new HTML file. Name this file relevant to the product you are promoting. In this file use the coding from this website

http://www.buildthatlist.net/hiding-your-affiliate-link/

After putting the code from the above mentioned website, save your file with an HTML extension. Now when someone types your personalized web address, the code in the HTML file will show them your affiliate link in such a way that they will not be able to edit it. They will not know that the link they are clicking is an affiliate link.

But if someone still does not want to use an affiliate id, he can do that by deleting their cookie files and changing some internal files. But the chances of this act are less likely as most of the people don’t have much time. And it is not giving them any loss if they are using your affiliate id to purchase something on the internet.

Affiliate URL is the link that is promoted by the affiliates to generate their affiliate revenue. This URL contains their affiliate id to identify them. Don’t use the plain and simple affiliate URL, because it will be really easy for anyone to remove your id and make a purchase. If this happened you would not collect commission, even though you had sent the user to make a purchase. The solution to this is to hide your affiliate id in your affiliate URL so that it cannot be easily removed. For this purpose you need to have your own hosting.

Sales Commission in Affiliate Marketing

Sales Commission in Affiliate Marketing

.

This article will provide some useful information to those who are planning to start affiliate marketing. The profit in this business is the sales commission. Affiliates are interested in the products that offer high sales commissions. Affiliate marketing merchants want to sell their products but they want to pay less sales commission to get the maximum benefit.

This article will guide affiliate marketing merchants on how to set their sales commission. Also it will tell the affiliates how to choose the products on the basis of sales commission offered.

.

Affiliate Marketers and Sales Commission

.

Whenever an affiliate marketer plans to enter into the affiliate marketing field, the following questions arise in his mind:

“Will I be able to earn commission by selling merchant’s products? What will be my percentage? Will I be able to earn a good amount from selling the products or not?”

There are different types of affiliate marketing programs.  The first type is called “Pay per Sale”, the second is “Pay per Lead” and last is “Pay per Click”. There are some more affiliate marketing types, but these three are the most popular among affiliate marketers.

In the pay per sale option, the merchant pays the affiliates on every sale. Usually the commission rate is anywhere between 10-50%. The products that are really hot in the market usually give less commission. In the pay per lead, the affiliate is paid for every person that is registered on the merchant website. Usually a visitor is offered to use a free product on a trial basis and their credit card information is stored. The visitor’s credit card is not charged during the trial period.  After the trial period has expired, if the visitor is interested, he will be charged. In the pay per click option, the affiliate is paid for every click that is made on his affiliate link. The affiliate is paid for every click, even if the visitors do not make any purchases. Obviously the commission on per click is much less as compared to other options.

.

Select Hot Affiliate Marketing Products to Profit

.

In the beginning, only select the products that are hot and are really making sales, even if their sales commission is lower. Greater sales will compensate you. If you are choosing the product just on the basis of high profits and not on the basis of its demand, generic cialis forum then you may suffer. Another good way is to choose the hot products with less profit and some new products with high profit. Then keep an eye on your sales. If the new products are giving you the sales then it is ok. Otherwise remove them and select some other new product with good sales commission.

If your website has really a good and constant flow of traffic, then pay per click is a very good option for you. Because you are paid for every click and you are not required to make any sales.

.

Affiliate Marketers Merchants and Sales Commission

.

If you are a affiliate marketing merchant, then always offer a commission that is both acceptable by your affiliates and you. If you offer a very low commission, then there are less chances of affiliate’s interest in your products and this may reduce your sales. On the other hand, if you are offering a very high commission, it will attract the affiliates but in the long term you may suffer. So always try to offer a reasonable commission.

If you are a merchant and are going to introduce a new product to the market, then you can offer some really high commissions in the start. This may be like 50% of the sale. This will attract the affiliates and you will get a large number of affiliates in very little time. The affiliates will be highly motivated to make as many sales as they can so that they can earn high commissions.  This will greatly increase your sales.   Once your product has become popular and in demand, then you may reduce the sales commission gradually.

Affiliate Marketing Conclusion

As a conclusion, setting a reasonable commission is an important factor for the merchants to do good business. Also the affiliate marketers should select the products that are giving them good profit and are easy to sell.

Promoting Low Priced Products in Affiliate Marketing

Promoting Low Priced Affiliate Products

.
If you are new in the field of affiliate marketing and your website traffic is not very large, then you cannot make more sales. If you are promoting the affiliate products that are low priced, then your monthly income will be very low. Usually the e-books and audio files are one of the lowest priced products which you may decide to sell. The usual sale price of these items is less than $100. This means for every sale, you will be receiving about $20 if the sale commission is 20%. In order to generate some reasonable revenue, many sales will be needed. But it is not possible in case of new websites where traffic is not very large.

On the other hand if you are an experienced affiliate marketer and your website traffic is really large then you can expect to earn a good amount even by promoting low priced affiliate products. If the products are hot and your traffic is large, then it is not a problem. For example, if you can sell 100 products, then your monthly income will be $2000 at the rate of 20% sales commission. This amount can be increased if you are promoting many affiliate products.

Small affiliate marketers should not choose the low priced products to promote. Such affiliate marketers should choose hot affiliate products that  have a good price. For example, if the product price is $1000 and your monthly sale is 10 products then you are getting $2000 per month at the rate of 20% sales commission. It means that less traffic and sales may reward you more, if you are promoting the high priced affiliate products.

But to sell the high priced affiliate products requires some extra efforts. Offer some free reports or newsletter or some other useful stuff on your website and store the email addresses of your website visitors. Your offer should be so effective that most of the visitors should give you their email address to take your offer. Now use these email addresses to start your ad campaign. This will result in more traffic to your website. The companies that are making high priced affiliate products usually offer the free installations, free maintenance and other benefits to their customers. Study these services in detail and advertise them. Tell your visitors that they will receive the technical assistance after they purchase the product. There may be some other offers like a money back guarantee.  Talk to your merchant and get the full details. Then inform your users using your website pages, newsletters and emails. These steps will surely increase your website traffic and number of sales.

The merchants, who are manufacturing low priced affiliate products, usually don’t offer extra benefits like a money back guarantee, free installation, technical assistance and free maintenance etc. This is another reason of fewer sales of low priced affiliate products.

But if you can find some merchants who are offering these extra services with their low priced affiliate products, you can choose to promote their product.  But also choose some high priced hot products too. Try to sell them both.
.

Low Price Affiliate Products Conclusion

.
As a conclusion, we can say that usually selecting low priced affiliate product for affiliate marketing is not a good decision, because you are required to make many sales to get generate a good income. But if your website traffic is very large then you can select the low priced products, because you can expect more sales. Selecting a well priced product and starting a good advertisement campaign usually gives better results.
